PRIVACY POLICY

MINIVERSARY ("we", "us", or "our") operates HangulPro, a Korean language learning application focused on learning Hangul.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have, including how to delete your account.

WHO WE ARE

The HangulPro app and website are operated by MINIVERSARY, a sole proprietorship located in Mokpo-si, Republic of Korea (목포시 행하길 8). MINIVERSARY is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to eum0430@gmail.com. The operator also acts as the person responsible for privacy matters.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect only what is needed to run the app. Depending on how you use HangulPro, we may process the following:

ACCOUNT
When you sign in with Google (or Sign in with Apple, where offered), we receive your name, email address and a unique user ID. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real one.
PROFILE
The nickname you choose and the character you select.
PROGRESS & GAME DATA
Lesson and test results, streaks and study dates, coins earned and spent, level and experience points, cards and characters you own, achievements, and settings such as language and speed.
LEADERBOARD
Your nickname, character, level, experience points and number of achievements are shown to other players in the in-app ranking.
PURCHASES
Whether you have unlocked premium features. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never receive your card number.
ADVERTISING & DEVICE DATA
When rewarded ads are shown, Google AdMob may process your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and your interaction with ads.

What we do not collect: we do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data. HangulPro does not include its own analytics or crash-reporting tools. The services listed below may log technical information (such as your IP address) when they operate.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use your information to:

  • create and manage your account and let you sign in;
  • save your progress and restore it when you sign in on another device;
  • show rankings, achievements and rank marks;
  • unlock and restore premium features you purchased;
  • show rewarded ads that give you in-game coins;
  • protect the service, prevent abuse and keep rankings fair;
  • respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.

Where the GDPR applies (EEA and UK), our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running your account and the app), our legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving the service), your consent (ad personalization where asked), and legal obligations.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share information only with the service providers that make HangulPro work. They process it under their own terms and privacy policies:

GOOGLE FIREBASE
Authentication and cloud storage of your account, progress and ranking data (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore).
GOOGLE ADMOB
Rewarded ads, including consent collection in regions that require it.
REVENUECAT
Purchase and premium status management. It receives your user ID and purchase information.
APPLE / GOOGLE
Sign-in (Google, Apple), app store distribution and payment processing.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law.

ADVERTISING

HangulPro shows rewarded ads through Google AdMob. In the EEA, UK and other regions that require it, you will be asked for your consent first, and you can review or change it at any time under Settings → Ad privacy options in the app (shown where consent is required).

On your device you can also reset or limit your advertising ID (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Our service providers operate servers in several countries, including outside the Republic of Korea (for example the United States). By using HangulPro you understand that your information is transferred to and stored on those servers for hosting and processing. These providers apply their own safeguards for international transfers.

DATA RETENTION

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account, progress data and ranking entry are deleted. Records that we or our payment providers (Apple, Google, RevenueCat) must keep under applicable tax, accounting or consumer laws may be kept for the period those laws require.

ACCOUNT DELETION

You can delete your account and data at any time:

  • in the app: Settings → Delete Account; or
  • on the web: DELETE ACCOUNT page.

Deleting your account is permanent. Where Sign in with Apple is offered, deleting your account also revokes the Apple sign-in connection.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask us to give you access to your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop our use of it, or withdraw a consent you gave. You can change your nickname in the app and manage ad consent in Settings. For any other request, email eum0430@gmail.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If Korean law applies, you may exercise your rights under the Personal Information Protection Act and can contact the Personal Information Protection Commission of Korea. We do not sell personal information, including under California law.

DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access rules on our database so that each account can read and change only its own data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

HangulPro is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 (or under the age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. If a change is significant, we may also notify you in the app.
